Google LLC in Turkiye seeks an experienced Legal Counsel to support regional operations across Turkiye, EMEA and the US. You will review and revise contracts, advise on regulatory compliance, and manage pre-contentious and contentious matters.

We value strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines. Fluency in English and Turkish is required and in-house or government experience is a plus.

Competenze

• JD, LL.B., or equivalent practical degree.
• At least 2 years attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• Experience advising media and technology companies with background in media, communications, IP, data protection and contract law.
• Experience in litigation.
• Admitted to the bar and in good standing or authorized to practice law in the posting jurisdiction.
• Fluent in English and Turkish to support regional legal operations.

• Provide legal advice to the company, including management, legal, marketing, business development, and other departments in Turkiye, across EMEA and the US.
• Respond promptly to requests for advice regarding regulatory inquiries, contracts, commercial regulations, litigation, IP, data protection, advertising, and consumer protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to the company, including the management teams, legal teams, marketing, business development, advertising sales and other business departments in Turkiye, throughout EMEA and the US.


• Respond promptly and reliably to internal and external requests for advice, specifically with regards to regulatory inquiries, contracts, commercial regulations, litigation, IP, data protection, advertising and consumer protection.


• Manage pre-contentious and contentious matters (including private litigation and governmental investigations) and coordinate our working relationship with external law firms.


• Draft, negotiate and adapt under local law a wide variety of commercial agreements, including license and strategic partnership agreements.
