Job summary

World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking a dedicated IT professional to coordinate and guide IT maintenance and support activities to enable effective IT services delivery. You will oversee system and hardware maintenance, monitor reliability, and provide essential training to staff across departments.

The role requires experience in IT/telecommunications systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in emergency environments while coordinating a team to meet objectives

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in installation, configuration, and testing of new hardware.
• Experience analyzing IT service management results and making improvement recommendations.
• Solid field-level experience in IT and telecommunications systems in emergency environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out system and hardware maintenance tasks to ensure technology runs effectively.
• Monitor reliability, analyze data, and produce reports to support informed decisions.
• Resolve queries and provide information to staff; escalate when needed.
• Provide standard technical training to end users of commonly used technology and systems.
• Coordinate a team of IT staff to meet objectives in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Follow emergency response processes to support IT services for humanitarian needs.
