Job description

Inventory Management & Logistics Specialist
About Fame Marketing

Fame Marketing and Trading LLC is a fast-growing U.S. e-commerce company that develops, sources, and sells a portfolio of consumer and specialty products across every major online marketplace. We operate our own branded storefronts alongside high-volume marketplace channels, and we manage a distributed inventory network spanning multiple fulfillment programs and third-party warehouses across the United States and Canada.

Our Inventory & Logistics team is the operational backbone of the business. It keeps hundreds of SKUs in stock across independent sales channels, moves product from overseas suppliers to marketplace fulfillment centers, and turns raw operational data into the decisions that keep sales flowing and costs down. As we scale our brands and channels, we are expanding this team.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Management & Logistics Specialist to support our growing multi-channel e-commerce operations. You will own the day-to-day health of our inventory across marketplaces and warehouses: monitoring stock, planning and coordinating shipments, forecasting replenishment, reconciling data, communicating with warehouses and freight partners, and producing the reports that drive operational planning.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who is equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and on a call with a 3PL warehouse. You will work remotely with meaningful overlap with U.S. business hours and coordinate across time zones with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.

Reports to: Inventory & Logistics Manager. Works closely with the Sales, Listing/Catalog, and Purchasing functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor inventory levels in real time across all sales channels — Amazon (FBA & seller-fulfilled), Walmart (WFS & seller-fulfilled), eBay, and Shopify branded stores — as well as across third-party warehouse locations.
  • Manage inventory on a per-channel basis, allocating and rebalancing stock between fulfillment programs and channels (inventory is channel-specific, not globally pooled) to prevent both stockouts and overselling.
  • Maintain accurate available-quantity and availability status across all platforms, and flag listings at risk of going out of stock or breaching stranded/suppressed-inventory conditions.
  • Plan, create, and track inbound shipments into Amazon FBA and Walmart WFS — including shipment plans, box/case content, prep and labeling requirements, carton and pallet configuration, and appointment scheduling.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound movements between suppliers, third-party warehouses, and marketplace fulfillment centers, and oversee seller-fulfilled/merchant orders to ensure on-time dispatch within marketplace SLAs.
  • Support import and freight processes end to end — communicating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers on ocean/air/LTL/FTL shipments, tracking milestones, and helping ensure customs and documentation are complete.
Replenishment & Demand Planning
  • Calculate reorder points, days-of-cover, and safety stock using sell-through rates, seasonality, supplier lead times, and marketplace restock/capacity limits (e.g., FBA restock limits and IPI considerations).
  • Support stock replenishment and purchasing recommendations to keep best-sellers in stock while avoiding aged and excess inventory and unnecessary long-term storage fees.
  • Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, shipment delays, receiving errors, and potential stock risks, driving each to resolution with the relevant warehouse or partner.
  • Support inventory reconciliation across systems and channels, and prepare/track lost, damaged, and fee-related reimbursement or claim cases with marketplaces and carriers.
  • Coordinate returns, removals, and disposition of unsellable or damaged inventory (reverse logistics).
Data Analysis, Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Analyze sales, inventory, and shipment data to support operational planning, surfacing trends, inconsistencies, and operational risks in large datasets.
  • Build and maintain weekly inventory, shipment, and operational-performance reports and dashboards (stock cover, stockouts, aging, in-transit, cost/fee tracking).
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data consistency across all relevant systems and channels.
  • Contribute to process-improvement and SOP initiatives that make inventory and logistics operations faster, cleaner, and more scalable.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, in English, with warehouses, freight forwarders, logistics providers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Manage tasks and follow-ups through task-management and communication tools (e.g., Asana and Microsoft Teams), maintaining tight follow-up discipline in a remote environment.
What a Typical Week Looks Like

To make the scope concrete, here is a sample of the recurring work in this role:

  • Run the daily stock-health check across all channels and flag any SKU trending toward a stockout.
  • Build one or more FBA/WFS inbound shipment plans, generate labels, and hand off to the warehouse for prep and dispatch.
  • Chase in-transit shipments and freight milestones; expedite delays before they hit availability.
  • Update the replenishment sheet and recommend what to reorder, in what quantity, and by when.
  • Reconcile a warehouse receiving report against expected quantities and open any needed discrepancy or reimbursement case.
  • Refresh the weekly inventory & logistics report for the leadership review.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, advanced formulas, data validation, and reporting — with the ability to work with large datasets and identify inconsistencies, trends, and operational risks.
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing Amazon FBA inbound shipments — shipment plans, box/case content, prep and labeling, and tracking to receipt.
  • Experience with inventory reconciliation and reimbursement/discrepancy claims — identifying lost, damaged, or fee-related issues and opening cases with marketplaces or carriers.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate professionally with international warehouses, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, paired with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, responsible, solution-oriented approach and the ability to work independently with strong follow-up discipline in a remote setting.
  • A reliable remote work setup and availability to overlap with U.S. business hours for warehouse and team coordination.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse coordination, logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce operations.
  • Experience with Walmart Fulfillment Services inbound shipments, and with Walmart, eBay, or Shopify seller dashboards.
  • Familiarity with international shipping, freight forwarding, customs documentation, and shipment-tracking processes.
  • Experience coordinating with warehouses and 3PLs located in the United States or Canada.
  • Familiarity with market/analytics and task tools such as Keepa, Asana, and Microsoft Teams.
