Job summary

Hansen Istanbul is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Intermodal Department to establish and lead an end-to-end intermodal business. The role combines commercial growth with operational leadership and requires building a robust vendor network across road, rail, short-sea and ocean transport.

You will develop intermodal strategies, shape processes, and grow the local team while ensuring compliance and strong customer focus in Türkiye.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in intermodal, multimodal, inland transport or freight forwarding.
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build and develop an intermodal department from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the intermodal business development plan for Türkiye.
• Build and lead the Intermodal Department from the ground up.
• Coordinate end-to-end processes from quotation to invoicing support.
• Develop intermodal solutions across road, rail, short-sea and ocean transport.
• Establish and manage vendor relationships with carriers, terminals and service providers.
