Job summary

ABB's Machine Automation Division in Türkiye seeks an Automation Engineer with 2+ years in automation, mechatronics, or related fields. You will design and support engineering tasks on small to mid-sized projects, applying design thinking and standard engineering methods.

The role blends hands-on testing, software programming, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable automation solutions.

Qualifications

Degree in Automation Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
At least 2 years of experience in automation.
Interest in automation, programming, digitalization, AI and innovation.
Knowledge of IEC 61131 languages or C, and familiarity with PLCs, motion control, and SCADA.
Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, control theory, and AI infrastructures.
Experience with Matlab/Simulink and MapleSim is a plus.
Proficient English and Turkish communication.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques for assignments.
Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
Assist in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
Ensure safety, cybersecurity, quality, and contractual requirements compliance.
Coordinate with supply chain and project managers to meet obligations.
Assist commissioning/service teams to ensure proper installation and commissioning.
Prepare proposals and bills of materials, estimated hours, etc.
