Job summary

Freedom Bank is looking for a proactive HR Specialist to support a broad range of HR activities across the business in Türkiye. This hands-on role covers recruitment, onboarding, employee records, learning and development, performance management, and engagement while collaborating with stakeholders.

You will contribute to HR processes, policies and projects and support day-to-day HR activities in an international banking environment, with opportunities to grow as the organisation expands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, HR or related field.
• 2-4 years HR experience; banking/financial services exposure advantageous.
• Knowledge of Turkish Labour Law and modern HR practices.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Strong planning, communication and collaboration skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and analytical capabilities.

• Partner with Business Units to provide HR support, insights and recommendations.
• Coordinate and facilitate orientation programs for new hires.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
• Plan and organize internal events and team-building activities to support engagement.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and motivated HR Specialist to join our team and support a broad range of HR activities across the business.

This is a hands-on, generalist HR role covering recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, learning and development, performance management, employee engagement, and ongoing HR projects. You will work closely with business stakeholders, providing day-to-day HR support while helping to develop and improve HR processes and practices.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with experience in the banking or financial services sector who is looking to broaden their exposure, take ownership of key HR activities, and develop within an international organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Business Units to provide HR support, analytical insights, and recommendations.
• Coordinate and facilitate orientation programs for new hires.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.

• Support ongoing HR projects and contribute to the development and optimization of HR processes and policies.
• Effectively manage recruitment processes for positions within the assigned area of responsibility, in line with company policies and strategies.
• Manage HR operations, including employment contracting, onboarding, training and development, performance management, and benefits administration.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of HR experience; experience within banking or financial services and exposure to HR Business Partnering would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Turkish Labour Law and contemporary HR practices.
• Strong planning, communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced working environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
