Job summary

EagleBurgmann is seeking an HSE Specialist in Istanbul to oversee the implementation and continuous enhancement of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality management systems. This role includes conducting risk assessments, leading audits, and ensuring compliance across numerous locations.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in international settings. Benefits include health insurance, meal allowance, and a performance-related bonus.

HSE Specialist (f/m/d)

Location: Istanbul (On-Site)

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001) across company sites and service centers.
• Conduct and support risk assessments (e.g., Job Hazard Analysis, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment), site inspections, and safety audits, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver mandatory HSE training programs, including onboarding, statutory training, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives, while monitoring their effectiveness.
• Lead and coordinate incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and non-conformance management, including root cause analysis and follow-up of action plans.
• Participate in internal and external audits, management review meetings, HSE committee meetings, and customer or regulatory inspections, ensuring full compliance and accurate documentation.
• Monitor HSE performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare weekly and monthly reports for management, ensuring compliance with legal, corporate, and customer requirements.
• Track environmental performance data such as energy consumption, waste management, and greenhouse gas emissions, and support sustainability reporting and customer compliance portal requirements.

Qualifications

• University degree in Industrial / Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position preferably with international companies.
• Experience in ISO 900, 14001 and 45001 management systems.
• Has at least “B certification” in H&S.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HSE software is an asset.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to influence and coach across all levels.
• Residing in Istanbul Anatolian Side or Kocaeli.
