About the Position
We are looking for a Health, Safety, and Environment Engineer to join our large-scale industrial project in the Ust‑Luga Region of Russia. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in risk assessment and ensuring compliance with HSE regulations in industrial construction environments.
Effective HSE management is critical to the success of large-scale Oil & Gas projects, where high-risk activities and complex operations require a proactive approach to risk control and regulatory compliance. Strong coordination across project functions is essential to prevent incidents, protect personnel, and ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience,
- Having a degree in HSE is a plus,
- Related professional certifications (C Class Expertise Certificate),
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs,
- Basic knowledge and safety awareness of machinery/equipment movements, lifting operations, and working in confined spaces,
- Ability to prepare daily reports after field inspections,
- Team-oriented and adaptable to collaborative work environments,
- Fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing),
- Preferably knows Russian and is familiar with Russian norms,
- Solution-oriented with analytical thinking skills,
- Capable of working well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment,
- Willing and able to work abroad on a long-term basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting HSE Chief in preparing HSE plans, operational procedures, and instructions, and monitoring field implementation
- Tracking the development and application of risk assessments and providing necessary reporting
- Conducting HSE inspections and controls for the assigned project
- Managing work permit processes
- Identifying HSE requirements for the project and contributing to the preparation of necessary HSE equipment/material lists
- Monitoring HSE actions for the project
- Taking part in incident investigations, preparing preliminary reports, and tracking corrective actions
- Supporting the preparation of documents, reports, and information requested by audit units related to departmental activities
