Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Istanbul seeks an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive experience and compliance with labor laws. You will coordinate contracts, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations while driving performance and development initiatives.

The role requires 5–8 years in HR, strong communication, and proficiency in Turkish and English, with experience in multinational or matrix environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• 5–8 years in HR, ideally as generalist or HR operations.
• Experience in multinational or matrix organizations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local labor law and HR processes.
• Familiarity with HRIS and HR analytics.
• Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end employee lifecycle: onboarding, transfers, promotions, offboarding.
• Coordinate contracts, amendments, and HR documentation.
• Be the first point of contact for HR policies and workplace matters.
• Promote a positive employee experience and inclusive culture.
• Support performance management and training initiatives.
• Coordinate monthly payroll processes with payroll providers and Finance.
• Assist employee engagement and well-being programs.
• Participate in HR projects and process improvements.

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive employee experience, operational efficiency, and compliance with labor legislation and company policies.

What do we expect from this role?

• Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
• Coordinate employment contracts, amendments, and related documentation.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employees on HR policies, procedures, and workplace-related matters.
• Promote a positive employee experience and foster an inclusive work environment.
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews.
• Support identification of development needs and implementation of training initiatives.
• Manage and coordinate monthly payroll processes in partnership with payroll providers, Finance, and relevant stakeholders.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and well-being programs.
• Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.

What is required for this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related file.
• 5 - 8 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist or HR operations role.
• Experience supporting multiple HR disciplines including employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration.
• Experience in a multinational and/or matrix organization is preferred.
• Good understanding of local labor law and HR best practices.
• Knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
• Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and HR analytics.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Good command of written and spoken Turkish and English.
