Job summary
Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Software Installation Engineer to perform on-site installation and upgrades of Oncology Information Systems across the EMEA region. You will travel extensively, often for about a week per installation, to support clinical teams and minimize patient disruption through timely software upgrades.
After comprehensive training, you will own installation, testing, and handover of life‑impacting software solutions, working both independently and in small teams.
Qualifications
- Degree from a technical institute or university in computer science, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of VMware, Citrix, Windows Server/Client technologies.
- Experience with Domains, Active Directory, MS SQL, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time.
- Fluency in English and local language (spoken and written).
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation and upgrades of our Oncology Information Systems and related equipment.
- Travel across the EMEA region to meet customers and collaborate with local clinical teams (typical installations last about one week).
- Conduct software upgrades during weekends to minimize patient disruption.
- Travel frequently (50–75%).
- Install, test, and hand over life‑impacting software solutions after training.
- Work independently and in small project teams with a global support network.
