Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Software Installation Engineer to lead on‑site installations and upgrades of Oncology Information Systems across the EMEA region. You will travel with clinical teams, perform weekend upgrades when needed, and ensure smooth handovers of critical software solutions after comprehensive training.

The role requires a technical degree and experience with VMware, Citrix, Windows Server, Active Directory, and MS SQL.

Qualifications

Degree from a Technical Institute or University in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of VMWare, Citrix, Windows Server/Client technologies—any of these is an asset.
Experience with Domains, Active Directory, MS SQL, and system‑level troubleshooting.
Strong willingness and ability to travel 50–75% of the time.
Fluency in English and local language, spoken and written.
Curiosity and motivation to continuously learn new technologies.
Ability to work both independently and responsibly, especially when installations are time‑sensitive and impact patient treatment schedules.
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but we highly value mindset, adaptability, and a commitment to high‑quality work.

Responsibilities

Perform on‑site installation and upgrades of Oncology Information Systems and related equipment.
Travel across the EMEA region to meet customers and collaborate with local clinical teams; most installations last approximately one week.
Conduct software upgrades during weekends, as required in our clinical environment, where minimizing disruption for patients is essential.
Travel frequently—approximately 50–75% of your time.
