Job summary

TalentWay Consultancy in Turkey seeks a Head of Software to lead its technology function in a senior, hands-on capacity reporting to the CEO. The role combines strategic technology ownership with direct execution, guiding architecture, processes, and an engineering team of 4–5 professionals.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in software engineering with startup/scale-up experience and strong cloud, security, and AI transformation knowledge.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the CEO and act as technology leader within leadership team
• Translate product and business strategy into scalable technology roadmaps
• Own software architecture, engineering processes, technical strategy, and execution quality end-to-end
• Lead and scale the software development function with 4–5 people
• Lead backend, frontend, mobile, and DevOps delivery processes
• Mentor engineers and cross-functional contributors
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of roadmaps
• Design scalable, secure, reliable systems aligned with growth
• Drive SDLC, code quality, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence
• Tackle complex technical challenges and critical production systems
• Support AI transformation across business units
• Maintain hands-on approach when needed for code review and architecture guidance
