Job summary

Forbes Advisor is seeking a Principal Designer to lead growth design, architecting end-to-end paid acquisition funnels across verticals with advertorials, pre-landers, quizzes, calculators, and conversion flows tailored to audience personas.

You will report to the Head of Design and collaborate with Paid Media, Growth, Editorial and Engineering. If you think in funnels, personas, and CRO as design problems, this role is for you.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in growth design or direct response design.
• Portfolio showing measurable conversion impact tied to design decisions.
• Experience designing complete funnels end-to-end, not just pages.
• Strong understanding of hook, proof, payoff, and CTA with headline-writing ability.
• Experience designing interactive tools (quizzes, calculators) with branching logic.
• Experience running structured experimentation programs and translating data into design directions.
• Strong web design fundamentals and proficiency in Figma and at least one prototyping tool.

Responsibilities

• Design paid acquisition funnels end to end from landing to lead capture or quote completion.
• Build multiple funnel variants per vertical tailored to distinct audiences.
• Design interactive tools with branching logic and AI-assisted prototyping.
• Translate Forbes Advisor editorial voice into conversion-focused formats.
• Treat CRO mechanics as a design discipline and defend decisions with data.
• Run hypothesis-driven tests across owned surfaces; develop templates for scalable variants.
• Mentor designers and help shape hiring as the function scales.
