Job summary

Spheros is seeking a Project Buyer for our Esenyurt site in Istanbul. You will coordinate purchasing activities across interdisciplinary teams, develop sourcing plans, and conduct global procurement to support design and production for heating, air conditioning, and regulation systems.

You will collaborate with international teams and travel as needed. The role requires a degree in engineering or business, at least two years of purchasing experience, strong negotiation and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, business administration or a comparable field of study.
• At least two years of professional purchasing experience, ideally in an industrial environment.
• Results‑oriented and structured way of working.
• Strong negotiation skills and initiative.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience with SAP R/3 and MS Office is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities within interdisciplinary development teams—from project kickoff to series production readiness.
• Develop bidder lists and sourcing plans with commodity managers.
• Prepare analytical evaluations to support purchasing decisions and present them to the Sourcing Committee (SoCo).
• Initiate and implement measures to reduce material costs.
• Conduct global sourcing activities with international teams.
• Prepare and support supplier relocations and identify new suppliers.
• Support supplier development activities.
