Job summary

Spheros is a global technology company in Esenyurt, Istanbul, seeking a Project Buyer to join our procurement team. You will coordinate purchasing activities across interdisciplinary development teams from project kickoff to series readiness and work with suppliers worldwide.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering or business degree with at least two years in industrial purchasing, strong negotiation and teamwork skills, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in engineering, business administration or a comparable field.
• At least two years of purchasing experience in an industrial environment.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience with SAP R/3 is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities within interdisciplinary development teams – from project kick-off, early supplier involvement and price negotiations through to series production readiness
• Develop bidder lists and sourcing plans in collaboration with the commodity managers
• Prepare analytical evaluations to support purchasing decisions and present them to the Sourcing Committee (SoCo)
• Initiate and implement targeted measures to reduce material costs
• Conduct global sourcing activities in cooperation with international purchasing teams
• Prepare and support supplier relocations
• Identify and approve new suppliers
• Support supplier development activities
