METRO Türkiye seeks a Kitchen & Cooking & Tableware Category Executive to shape product assortments and lead supplier partnerships within the gastronomy ecosystem. The role drives market insights, reports, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver category targets.

You will connect with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Logistics while promoting Turkish culinary culture and international collaboration within METRO’s global networks.

Qualifications

• University degree in related departments.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in related areas (preferably category management or purchasing in FMCG).
• Fluency in written and spoken English for steering global projects.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office for executive summaries and decision support.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills for strong customer relationships.
• Wanting to be a food lover and enjoy work life.
• Self-confidence and results orientation with good reporting/communication.

Responsibilities

• Decide product assortment in line with trends and customer expectations.
• Lead day-to-day relationships with key suppliers: contracting, ordering, demand communication, delivery changes, back orders.
• Conduct market research to analyze new suppliers, products, and competitor trends.
• Prepare monthly category operation reports to review sales performance and actions.
• Provide content for METRO marketing campaigns reaching over 1 million households.
• Participate in projects exploring Turkish cuisine and promoting quality standards.
• Coordinate between category and stores; collaborate with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Logistics to hit targets.
