Human Resources Director – AYD Automotive Industry

Location: Istanbul, Türkiye (Yeniköy – On-site)

As part of this transformation, we are seeking an accomplished Human Resources Director to lead the group’s entire HR and administrative function. This executive role will play a fundamental part in shaping the organizational culture, driving operational excellence, and ensuring sustainable growth through best-in-class people and administrative practices.

The position requires an active on-site leadership presence across both our Istanbul Corporate Headquarters and Konya manufacturing operations. The Human Resources Director will be expected to spend a minimum of two working days per week at our Konya facilities, maintaining direct involvement in factory HR operations, employee relations, workforce management, and field-level organizational processes. The remaining three working days will primarily be based at our Istanbul Yeniköy Corporate Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

• Develop and execute a comprehensive long-term HR strategy aligned with AYD’s corporate objectives and global expansion plans.
• Lead workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management for a diverse team of 5,000+ employees.
• Oversee senior-level recruitment, executive succession planning, and strategic talent acquisition programs.
• Establish advanced frameworks for performance management, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, and leadership development.
• Champion a high-performance, accountable, inclusive, and innovation-driven culture.
• Ensure adherence to labor legislation, HR governance standards, and internal policy compliance.
• Utilize HR analytics and data-driven decision-making to enhance organizational efficiency and workforce optimization.

Administrative Affairs Oversight

• Provide strategic direction for administrative departments, including facilities management, office operations, corporate services, and select procurement activities.
• Develop policies that ensure operational excellence, scalability, and cost effectiveness for a rapidly growing organization.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures within HR and administrative divisions.
• Lead digitalization initiatives to streamline HR and administrative workflows.
• Manage corporate communication programs, internal events, and employee engagement initiatives that reinforce AYD’s cultural values.

Executive Leadership & Organizational Transformation

• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, working directly with the CEO and Board to implement corporate strategy.
• Lead large-scale organizational transformation initiatives, including change management programs that support innovation and growth.
• Build strong, trust-based partnerships with department heads to ensure HR strategies effectively support business needs.
• Coach, mentor, and develop HR and administrative teams to cultivate a future-ready, high-performance organization.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or executive-level HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD) are highly preferred.
• Experience: 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior executive roles in large-scale organizations (5,000+ employees).
• Leadership: Strong executive presence, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence C-level decision-making.
• Strategic Capability: Proven track record in driving HR strategy, organizational transformation, and corporate governance.
• People Skills: Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
• Business Acumen: Skilled in budgeting, HR analytics, financial planning, and operational efficiency.
