Job summary

ING Hubs Türkiye is seeking a GCP Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms on Google Cloud Platform that power analytics, AI, and machine learning products across ING's network.

You will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver production-ready data assets, focusing on reliability, data quality, and performance in a hybrid Turkish office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in globally distributed teams.
• Hands-on experience building complex data pipelines using PySpark, Airflow, or similar technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience designing data models and working with relational or distributed database systems.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, version control, and code reviews.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions for large-scale datasets.
• Develop reliable and efficient data models supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and AI use cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement modern software engineering practices, including automated testing and CI/CD.
• Monitor and improve platform reliability, observability, and performance.
• Support AI, machine learning, and MLOps initiatives by delivering trusted and accessible data assets.
• Contribute to engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the team.
