Job summary

The Peninsula Istanbul, a premier luxury hotel on the Bosphorus, seeks an experienced Food & Beverage professional to join its team. You will greet, seat, and serve guests with discreet, attentive service and ensure accurate orders and wine recommendations.

Strong English and Turkish language skills, two years in a similar F&B role, and a professional, precise approach are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage outlet with similar standards and expectations.
• Good level of English and Turkish language proficiency.
• High school Diploma.
• Driven by precision and excellence.
• Caring for team and guests and excellent communication skills.
• Good collaboration skills with others.
• Good organization skills and time management.
• Good hands-on service.

Responsibilities

• Have complete understanding of all food and beverage items, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
• Perform a friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in greeting, seating, and waiting on all guests.
• Ensures accuracy of orders including menu details.
• Presents wine lists and recommend beverages and wines as required.
• Anticipates guests’ needs and exceeds guests’ expectations.
• Ensures linens, silverware and chinaware are in good condition.
• Controlling the cleanliness and tidiness of side stations before, during and after operation.
• Always controlling the cleanliness of the guests’ tables.
