Job summary

Garanti BBVA seeks a Data Solution Engineer for the Financial Companies Data Warehouse team. You will gather requirements, perform data modelling, and design source-to-target mappings while ensuring data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in data analysis, data warehouse development or data engineering.
• Excellent SQL and PL/SQL skills with optimization experience.
• ETL/ELT development and data integration.
• ODI 12c experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse architecture and data governance.
• Experience with BI tools: OBIEE/OAS, Qlik Sense.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Banking/financial services exposure is a plus.
• Knowledge of data modeling tools like Power Designer.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree on Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering or other related departments,
• At least 6 years of professional experience in data analysis, data warehouse development or data engineering, with hands‑on experience in both analysis and development,
• Excellent SQL and PL/SQL skills, query optimization, performance tuning and hands‑on experience,
• Hands‑on experience in ETL/ELT development, data integration and transformation processes,
• Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI 12c) is a plus,
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data warehouse architecture, layered data architecture, source‑to‑target mapping, impact analysis and technical design,
• Good understanding of data quality standards, data governance, data lineage and metadata management,
• Experience in business requirements analysis, functional and technical analysis, solution design and technical documentation,
• Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools. Oracle OBIEE/OAS and Qlik Sense are preferred,
• Experience with Python is a plus,
• Experience in banking or financial services, particularly in Pension & Life Insurance, Investment Products, Crypto Assets or Asset Management, is a plus,
• Knowledge of data modeling and design tools, preferably Power Designer,
• Familiarity with modern data engineering concepts, cloud data platforms and emerging data technologies is an advantage,
• Interest in and practical adoption of AI-powered tools to support data analysis, SQL development, coding, documentation, troubleshooting and productivity improvement,
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder management skills,
