Job summary
Aramco is seeking an experienced Downstream Process Engineer with extensive hands‑on FCC expertise to join the Downstream Operation Engineering Solutions Department. You will monitor, optimize and drive performance improvements for refinery FCC units, including remote and on-site advisory support and benchmarking.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with at least 15 years in refinery operations and 10+ years in FCC, with strong knowledge of regenerator operations,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
- Minimum 15 years refinery operations experience; at least 10 years in FCC operations and optimization.
- Demonstrated track record of FCC performance improvements (yield, energy, reliability).
- Deep knowledge of FCC processes, regenerator operations, catalyst management and product fractionation.
- Experience with process simulation software for FCC modeling (Aspen HYSYS, KBC Petro-SIM).
- Strong communication and ability to mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive performance reviews of FCC units and report quarterly benchmarking with actionable recommendations.
- Provide hands-on technical support for performance improvement initiatives and debottlenecking.
- Lead workshops for knowledge exchange among facilities and licensors.
- Deliver remote and field advisory support with detailed service reports.
