Responsibilities

• Government & Regulatory Affairs: primary liaison between SANY Turkey and government ministries, regulatory agencies, and industry associations; monitor regulatory developments; coordinate official correspondence with public institutions.
• Stakeholder & Relationship Management: build and maintain strategic relationships with government bodies, state-owned enterprises, and major institutional clients; support business development through public-sector positioning.
• Business Representation & Support: host key clients and government delegations; deliver presentations on SANY's Turkey operations in English and Turkish; analyze policy and investment information for major projects.
• Protocol & Hospitality: oversee reception tasks for high-level visits, coordinate meetings, tours, and hospitality; maintain networks for ongoing external affairs activities.

The Role

We are hiring an External Affairs & Government Relations Manager based in Sancaktepe, Istanbul. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for building and managing SANY Turkey's relationships with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and key institutional stakeholders. The person in this role will serve as the company's primary interface with the public sector and will play a central part in enabling SANY's business operations and long-term growth in the Turkish market.

Responsibilities

Government & Regulatory Affairs

• Serve as the primary liaison between SANY Turkey and government ministries, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments relevant to the business; proactively communicate implications to leadership.
• Coordinate all official correspondence and compliance-related external communications with public institutions.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with government bodies, state-owned enterprises, and major institutional clients.
• Collaborate with Regional Management to support business development through strong public-sector positioning.
• Represent SANY at industry events, official meetings, and government-organized forums.

Business Representation & Support

• Lead the reception and hosting of key clients, government delegations, and business partners.
• Deliver professional presentations on SANY's business scope, products, and Turkey operations in English and Turkish.
• Collect and analyze relevant policy, regulatory, and investment environment information to support major project negotiations.

Protocol & Hospitality

• Oversee business reception tasks for high-level visits, including meeting coordination, facility tours, and hospitality arrangements.
• Maintain and develop a network of hospitality and institutional resources to support ongoing external affairs activities.

Mandatory

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in government relations, external affairs, or public affairs roles
• Established network within Turkish government institutions, ministries, or regulatory bodies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English
• Strong understanding of Turkish regulatory environment, bureaucratic processes, and public sector dynamics

Preferred

• Experience working with or representing a foreign company in Turkey
• Background in the industrial, construction machinery, or heavy equipment sector
• Familiarity with Chinese business culture or prior experience in a Chinese multinational company
• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is an advantage
