Job summary

ManpowerGroup Türkiye seeks an Environment & Climate Change Senior Expert to lead high-impact sustainability programmes and engage senior stakeholders across sectors. Based in Istanbul with hybrid work, you will shape strategy and drive partnerships for measurable environmental and social impact.

You will design learning programmes, publish thought leadership, and coordinate multi-stakeholder initiatives while traveling as needed to advance Türkiye’s sustainable economy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Environmental Engineering/Sciences, Economics, Business, Social Sciences, Public Policy) with a Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in climate change, environmental sustainability, ESG, or related fields.
• Experience with international organizations or multinational environments is desirable.
• Strong understanding of environmental sustainability topics including climate change, biodiversity, circular economy, water stewardship.
• Knowledge of sustainability regulations and international reporting standards.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across sectors.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills in English and Turkish.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver programmes focused on environmental sustainability, including executive learning programmes, webinars, workshops, publications, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Lead planning and execution of sustainability initiatives, peer learning platforms, and capacity-building programmes.
• Represent the organization at national and international sustainability forums and events.
• Develop thought leadership content and communications on climate change and sustainability.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, public institutions, and international partners.
• Monitor global sustainability trends and translate insights into programme ideas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and aligned with priorities.

As the organization continues to expand its environmental sustainability agenda, we are seeking an experienced Environment & Climate Change Senior Expert who will play a strategic role in designing high-impact programmes, engaging key stakeholders, and contributing to the transition towards a more sustainable economy.

This position is based in Istanbul and offers a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

As the Environment & Climate Change Senior Expert, you will:

• Design and deliver programmes focused on environmental sustainability, including executive learning programmes, webinars, workshops, publications, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Lead the planning, coordination, and successful implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives, peer learning platforms, and capacity-building programmes.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of flagship events while representing the organization at leading national and international sustainability forums, conferences, and industry events.
• Develop thought leadership content, speeches, presentations, interviews, articles, and communication materials related to climate change and environmental sustainability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, private sector representatives, public institutions, academic partners, industry associations, and international stakeholders.
• Monitor emerging global sustainability trends, environmental legislation, reporting frameworks, and market developments, translating insights into innovative programme ideas and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time, and aligned with the organization's strategic priorities.
• Identify opportunities for new partnerships, collaborations, and programme development that further strengthen the organization's impact.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in climate change, environmental sustainability, ESG, corporate sustainability, environmental policy, or related fields.
• Previous experience within international organizations, non-profit organizations, sustainability consultancies, business associations, or multinational environments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of environmental sustainability topics including climate change, biodiversity, circular economy, water stewardship, nature-related risks, and sustainable business transformation.
• Good knowledge of sustainability regulations, environmental reporting frameworks, and international standards affecting businesses.
• Proven experience managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple sectors.
• Experience designing and facilitating workshops, executive learning programmes, or stakeholder engagement initiatives is considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent analytical thinking, project management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex sustainability topics into practical and engaging content.
• Excellent command of both English and Turkish, written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
