Job summary

PeopleCert in Istanbul seeks an experienced English Language Teacher to join our LANGUAGECERT initiative aimed at raising English proficiency in Greek schools. Plan engaging lessons, tailor activities for diverse ages, and prepare students for international exams.

Ideal candidates hold a BA in English or related field, TEFL/TESOL, and at least 2 years of teaching experience. Availability 2 PM–8 PM, Monday to Friday, and eligibility to work in Turkey are required.

Qualifications

• BA in English, Linguistics, Education or related field.
• TEFL/TESOL certification recognized.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English; CEFR familiarity.

English Language Teacher – Istanbul

PeopleCert is seeking an experienced, passionate, and qualified English Language Teacher to join our team in Istanbul as part of the LANGUAGECERT initiative aimed at raising English proficiency in Greek schools.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and deliver interactive, engaging lessons for a variety of age groups and proficiency levels.
• Design activities and work with materials that promote communicative and authentic language use.
• Assess student needs and learning styles to tailor instruction accordingly.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress through regular assessments, quizzes, and feedback sessions.
• Prepare students for international English language certification exams by LANGUAGECERT, including practice tests and exam strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and development.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain regular communication with learners and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues from LANGUAGECERT to fine‑tune curriculum materials and share best practices.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

Qualifications

• A BA degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• Recognized TEFL/TESOL certification.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (native or near-native level).
• Familiarity with the CEFR framework and standardized test preparation.
• Eligibility to live and work in Turkey.
• Availability from 2 PM to 8 PM, Monday to Friday.
