Job summary

PeopleCert is seeking an experienced English Language Teacher to join our team in Istanbul as part of the LANGUAGECERT initiative aimed at raising English proficiency in Greek schools. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, tailor instruction to learner needs, and prepare students for LANGUAGECERT exams.

The role requires a BA in English or related field, TEFL/TESOL, and at least two years of teaching experience. Availability 2 PM–8 PM, Monday to Friday, is expected.

Qualifications

• BA degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or related field.
• TEFL/TESOL certification.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (native or near-native).
• Familiarity with CEFR and test preparation.
• Eligibility to live and work in Turkey.
• Availability from 2 PM to 8 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver interactive, engaging lessons for various ages and levels.
• Design activities and materials promoting communicative language use.
• Assess student needs and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Monitor and document progress through assessments and feedback.
• Prepare students for LANGUAGECERT exams with practice tests and strategies.
• Maintain attendance and progress records.
• Provide constructive feedback and communicate with learners and parents.
• Collaborate with LANGUAGECERT colleagues to refine curriculum.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
