Job summary

Turkish Technic, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, is expanding its engineering team at Istanbul facilities to support an independent engine MRO center for Rolls-Royce Trent engines. We seek Shop (Manufacturing) Engineers, Overhaul/Repair Engineers and Test Cell Engineers to play active roles in engine maintenance and overhaul processes.

You will provide technical support through disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly and testing, and help develop repair processes, tooling and work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Materials Engineering.
• At least 3 years in Engine MRO industry.
• At least 2 years in engine shop, test cell or power plant operations (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of high-bypass gas turbine/turbofan engines.
• Familiarity with FAA & EASA Part 145 and Nadcap standards.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support throughout engine overhaul, including disassembly and testing.
• Develop and optimize repair processes, tooling, and work instructions for engine components.
• Support quality, regulatory, and compliance activities per standards.
• Coordinate production planning, scheduling and resource management to meet turnaround targets.
• Conduct audits, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to ensure reliability and safety.

Job description

Turkish Technic, 100% subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, is one of the world’s leading aviation services providers, where comprehensive maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and reconfiguration services are performed with a highly skilled workforce of over 11.500 professionals within Istanbul Ataturk Airport, Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Istanbul Airport facilities on two separate continents. Aside from its engineering and maintenance activities, Turkish Technic supports aircraft operators and owners globally with encompassing component pooling, design, certification, and production services.

As part of the strategic collaboration between Rolls-Royce and Turkish Technic, an independent engine MRO center is being established at Istanbul Airport. Within the scope of this project, Turkish Technic is expanding its engineering team to support the establishment and operation of this advanced maintenance facility.

We are seeking Shop (Manufacturing) Engineers, Overhaul/Repair Engineers and Test Cell Engineers who will take active roles in developing and executing engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes for Rolls-Royce Trent engines.

About the Role

• Provide technical engineering support throughout the engine overhaul process, including disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly and testing.
• Develop, implement and optimize repair processes, tooling, and work instructions for engine components.
• Support quality, regulatory, and compliance activities in accordance with EASA/FAA Part 145, ISO and Nadcap standards.
• Coordinate production planning, scheduling and resource management to meet turnaround time (TAT/TRT) targets.
• Conduct and support audits, root cause analyses and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure reliability, safety and efficiency.
• Participate in capability development projects and contribute to process industrialization of new engine models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
• At least 3 years of experience in Engine MRO industry is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in engine shop, test cell or power plant operations is preferred.
• Strong understanding of high-bypass gas turbine/turbofan engines.
• Experience with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB and/or Trent 7000 is a strong advantage.*
• Knowledge of aviation regulations FAA & EASA Part 145, Safety & Quality Management Systems, and aviation maintenance standards.
• Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and technical reporting skills.
• Proficiency in English.

*Candidates with direct experience on Trent XWB-97, Trent XWB-84 and/or Trent 7000 engines are highly preferred. However, candidates with relevant aircraft engine MRO, overhaul, repair, repair development, engine shop or test cell experience on other engine types will also be considered.
