Intertek Turkey is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to analyze and maintain electrical infrastructure in our laboratory and facilities in Istanbul, ensuring safety and compliance with standards. Requirements include an Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree, MS Office skills, analytical/problem-solving abilities, and team orientation;

Responsibilities

• Analyze the workplace's existing electrical infrastructure, identify strengths and weaknesses.
• Ensure electrical system design and project-based execution with external consultants when needed.
• Evaluate results of periodic inspections and propose permanent solutions.
• Check electrical function controls of devices and their network compatibility for safety.
• Perform capacity, safety, and efficiency checks on electrical installations, panels, generators, UPS, etc.
• Identify and control electrical risks in the laboratory with OH&S involvement.
• Develop preventive maintenance and engineering solutions to prevent outages and overloads.
• Participate in new laboratory investments from planning onward and ensure contractor work meets standards.
• Provide technical support during breakdowns and perform root-cause analysis for permanent solutions.

• Proficient in using MS Office programs

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Analyze the workplace's existing electrical infrastructure, identify its strengths and weaknesses
• Ensure the workplace's electrical system is designed, executing the process on a project basis with external consultants when necessary
• Evaluate the results of periodic technical inspections conducted by authorized institutions and propose permanent solutions to identified nonconformities from an engineering perspective
• Check the electrical function controls of devices used in the laboratory or to be newly purchased (ovens, air conditioning systems, test rooms, etc.), check their compatibility with the network to which they are connected, and ensure their safety
• Performing capacity, safety, and efficiency checks on electrical installations, panels, generators, UPS, and other infrastructure systems
• Identifying and controlling existing and potential risks in the laboratory environment in collaboration with the occupational safety specialist
• Developing preventive maintenance and engineering solutions to prevent power outages, fluctuations, and overloads
• Take part in new laboratory investments from the project stage onwards, inspect electrical work carried out by contractors for compliance with standards
• Identify electrical risks within the scope of occupational health and safety, develop measures, and monitor their implementation
• Provide technical support during breakdown and maintenance processes and perform root cause analysis for permanent solutions.
