Job summary

CATL in Bursa, Turkiye, is seeking an EHS Engineer to join the team at our Bursa facility. The role focuses on safety design reviews, FATs and CE verification, with emphasis on Turkish safety and environmental compliance.

The candidate will lead EHS initiatives, monitor contractor safety during construction, and develop emergency response plans. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering with a Class A/B Occupational Safety certification, 5+ years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
Valid Class A or Class B Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience; automotive/new energy sector preferred.
Excellent command of English for technical communication and meetings.
Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct equipment safety design reviews, FATs and CE verification per CATL standards.
Identify and manage Turkish compliance requirements for safety and environment.
Perform process risk assessments across all work areas and activities.
Define and track EHS deliverables aligned with project milestones.
Develop and continually improve the EHS management system and training programs.
Lead contractor safety supervision and site compliance during construction.
Develop emergency response strategies and organise drills.
Ensure safety and environmental compliance with Turkish laws.
