Job summary

Karadeniz Holding is seeking a Design Engineer- Accommodation to transform engineering data into presentation-ready 3D models and vivid visuals for Powership projects.

You will produce photorealistic renders, animations, and promotional content, coordinating with multiple teams and ensuring regulatory compliance across accommodations and outfitting drawings.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in relevant design/engineering field.
• Strong knowledge of ship geometry, hull forms, and general arrangement.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and photorealistic rendering.

Responsibilities

• Convert technical project data into presentation-ready 3D models.
• Create photorealistic renders and animations for Powership projects.
• Produce sea/water simulations and vessel navigation animations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Business Development and Corporate Communications teams.
• Prepare technical drawings such as Accommodation Plans, Panel Arrangements and Fire Plans.
• Ensure drawings comply with international and local regulations.

We are looking for a Design Engineer- Accommodation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a relevant associate or bachelor’s degree program, such as Naval Architecture, Industrial Design, Visual Communication Design, Architecture, Animation, or a related field,
• Technical knowledge of ship geometry, hull forms, general arrangement, exterior modeling, and industrial design,
• Advanced proficiency in at least one of the following software programs: Rhinoceros, Blender, or 3ds Max, with experience in 3D modeling,
• Ability to produce photorealistic renders and animations using one or more of the following: V-Ray, Corona, KeyShot, Lumion, or Unreal Engine,
• Ability to realistically animate sea and water simulations as well as the physical movements of vessels while underway,
• Strong aesthetic perspective and knowledge of camera angles, lighting, PBR materials, texture management, and cinematic composition,
• Preferably proficient in After Effects or similar video editing and post-production software,
• Knowledge or experience in preparing technical drawings within the scope of ship accommodation and outfitting projects, including Accommodation Plans, Panel Arrangements, Fire and Safety Plans, Fire Integrity and Insulation Plans, Door Plans, etc.,
• Experience in checking the compliance of relevant technical drawings with international and local regulations and following up on material procurement processes related to these drawings,
• Strong analytical and visual perspective, with the ability to transform technical engineering data into visual design outputs,
• Well-organized in task follow-up and time management, with the ability to quickly adapt to project and design revisions,
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in coordination with different disciplines,
• For male candidates, completion of or exemption from compulsory military service.

Job Description

• Interpretation of technical project data received from engineering and design teams and transformation of such data into presentation-ready 3D models,
• Preparation of photorealistic renders and promotional animations reflecting the site appearance, general arrangement, and operational structure of Powership projects,
• Creation of sea/water simulations and vessel navigation animations for ship and Powership projects,
• Preparation of visual materials and digital promotional content for international client presentations, site visits, trade fairs, and other events,
• Creation of photorealistic and cinematic visual outputs through the management of camera angles, lighting, materials, textures, and environmental elements,
• Coordination with Engineering, Business Development, and Corporate Communications teams to reflect project updates and design revisions in visual works,
• Preparation of technical drawings such as Accommodation Plans, Panel Arrangements, Fire and Safety Plans, Fire Integrity and Insulation Plans, Door Plans, etc.,
• Verification of the compliance of prepared technical drawings and projects with international and local regulations,
• Creation of material purchase requisitions based on technical drawings and follow-up and management of the relevant procurement processes,
• Incorporation of design and engineering changes made throughout the projects into 3D models, renders, and animations in an up-to-date manner,
• Consistent maintenance of established visual quality and corporate presentation standards across projects.
