Job summary

AstraZeneca Turkey seeks a Data Privacy Partner to safeguard personal data across the organization, aligning with local laws and AstraZeneca’s Global Data Privacy Standard. The role reports to the Nominated Signatory & Data Privacy Lead and collaborates with the Head of Legal to embed privacy into day-to-day operations.

Key duties include maintaining ROPA, guiding process owners, and leading privacy impact assessments for high-risk projects.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data privacy.
Strong knowledge of data protection principles and Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698.
Knowledge of GDPR or other relevant global data protection frameworks.
Able to work in a flexible team environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.

Responsibilities

Act as the local Data Privacy Subject Matter Expert for Turkey and ensure compliance with local laws and AstraZeneca standards.
Maintain ROPA and guide process owners to update documents, policies and templates.
Act as the local Data Privacy Officer and Contact Person for VERBIS-registered entities.
Advise leadership on data privacy requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
Lead incident response and breach management, including notification as required.
