Job summary

CATL is seeking a Quality Engineer to be the main contact for customers on quality issues after SOP and B sample delivery. You will respond rapidly to OEM quality questions, coordinate rework, and maintain strong customer relationships across cell, module, pack, and system levels.

You will transfer customer requirements to CATL’s quality core team and work with the project quality team to investigate issues on-site and in the field. International travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
• Two to three years quality engineer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of five quality tools and their application.
• Familiar with battery product structure, manufacturing processes and data analysis/risk assessment.
• Quality audit capability with understanding of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3.
• Ability to solve quality issues independently using 8D methodology.
• Excellent English and Turkish communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Main contact for customers regarding quality issues after SOP and B sample delivery.
• Respond quickly to quality issues at OEMs, including questions, rework and sorting.
• Build and maintain good relationships with customers.
• Transfer customer-specific requirements to CATL quality core team.
• Collaborate with internal project quality team to analyze issues on customer sites and in field.
• Coordinate return of rejected items with customers for key issues.
• Instruct customers to ensure proper assembly and follow up on status across cells/modules/battery systems.
• Manage and handle security incidents.
• Support resolution of overseas key customer complaints.
• Travel internationally as required by business needs.

• Main contact for Customers in case of any Quality issues after Start Of Production (SOP) and B sample delivery
• Quick response to the quality issues at OEM's, like questions, rework and sorting activities
• Build and maintain good relationship with Customers
• Transfer Customer Specific Requirements correctly to CATL quality core team
• Work with internal project quality team to analyze quality issues happened on customer production site and in field
• Coordinate and arrange the return of rejected items from customers, work closely with customers for important quality issues
• Instruct customer to ensure proper assembly. Follow up the assembled status of our products to the counterparts, including cell, module, pack and battery system etc.
• Manage and handle security incidents
• Support the resolution of overseas key customer complaints
• Involves business trips due to business requirements

Qualification:

1. 1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
2. 2. Two to three years quality engineer experience is preferred.
3. 3. Well-known five tools of quality management and the application of quality tools.
4. 4. Be familiar with the basic structure of battery products, manufacturing process and characteristics, with basic data analysis and risk assessment capabilities.
5. 5. With quality audit capabilities, understanding of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3.
6. 6. Can solve the quality issues independently, with proficiency in 8D methodology.
