Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Adana, Turkey, seeks a Customer Engineer - Power (Field Service Specialist) to join our service team. This field-based role covers the region, with most customer visits within two hours of the Istanbul area.

You will install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UPS and critical power systems at customer sites. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of field service experience, reads schematics, and holds an Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with UPS systems, batteries, critical power infrastructure, or related electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
• Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• 3–5 years of field service experience in UPS/power systems or related technical industry is ideal.
• English at B2 level or above; technical documentation understood.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on UPS and battery systems.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and service activities per Vertiv procedures and quality standards.
• Diagnose faults, perform technical inspections and measurements, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to customers, including on-call rotation when required.
• Ensure all service activities are completed safely, professionally, and within agreed timeframes.
• Prepare and submit service reports, maintenance records, and fault documentation accurately and on time.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures.
• Travel domestically and internationally when required.

About the Role

Vertiv is seeking a Customer Engineer - Power (Field Service Specialist) to join our Service team in Turkey. This is a field-based position covering the region, with most customer visits taking place within approximately two hours of the Istanbul area.

As part of our field service organization, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of UPS and critical power systems at customer sites. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in field service, electrical systems, UPS equipment, or critical infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on UPS and battery systems.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and service activities in accordance with Vertiv technical procedures and quality standards.
• Diagnose faults, perform technical inspections and measurements, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to customers, including participation in the 24/7 on-call service organization when required.
• Ensure all service activities are completed safely, professionally, and within agreed timeframes.
• Prepare and submit service reports, maintenance records, and fault documentation accurately and on time.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures.
• Identify and report technical risks, equipment issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Follow all company policies, quality standards, and Health & Safety requirements.
• Travel domestically and internationally when required.

What We're Looking For

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a vocational school, technical college, or university.
• Experience working with UPS systems, batteries, critical power infrastructure, or related electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
• Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Ideally 3-5 years of field service experience within UPS, power systems, electrical services, or a related technical industry.
• English language proficiency at B2 level or above, with the ability to understand technical documentation.
• Customer-focused approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexibly and participate in an on-call support rota.
• No restrictions on domestic or international travel.
• Valid Class B driving licence.
