Job summary

MediaMarkt Turkey is seeking an experienced leader to oversee reverse logistics across customers, stores, and service centers, driving efficiency and cost control. You will analyze returns data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.

The role requires a strong background in logistics, compliance with environmental and warranty regulations, and experience with ERP/CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 8+ years experience in logistics or operations with exposure to reverse logistics or after-sales.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, transport flows, and refurb/recycling operations.
• Knowledge of after-sales operations, consumer protection laws, and warranty requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end reverse logistics operations from customers, stores, and service centers to warehouses, refurbishers, vendors, or recycling partners.
• Monitor key returns KPIs: volumes, turnaround times, recovery rates, cost per return, customer satisfaction, efficiency.
• Identify root causes of high return rates and bottlenecks; collaborate across teams to implement corrective actions.
• Lead Lean-based continuous improvement initiatives across reverse logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with WEEE, environmental standards, and sustainability objectives.
• Prepare and present operational reports for reverse logistics and broader SCM activities.
• Support budget planning including forecasting, cost analysis, and resource planning.

Job description

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Master’s degree is a plus
• 8+ years experience in logistics or operations, ideally with exposure to reverse logistics, after-sales, or service management
• Strong operational understanding of warehouse processes, transport flows, and refurbishment/recycling operations
• Strong knowledge of after-sales operations, consumer protection laws, warranty requirements, and relevant regulations
• Proven ability to manage 3PL performance and cost
• Experience in data-driven performance tracking (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent)
• Familiar with WEEE, ESG, and sustainability requirements
• Hands-on leader with operational presence and continuous-improvement mindset
• Knowledge of ERP systems, CRM Systems and Supply chains
• Fluent in the national language and English; additional European language is a plus

Job Description:

• Oversee end-to-end reverse logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement of returned products from customers, stores, and service centers to warehouses, refurbishers, vendors, or recycling partners
• Monitor and analyze key returns performance indicators, including return volumes, turnaround times, recovery rates, cost per return, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency metrics
• Identify root causes of high return rates, process bottlenecks, and operational inefficiencies; collaborate with Commercial, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to implement corrective actions and reduce preventable returns
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives by implementing Lean methodologies, process optimization projects, and best practices across reverse logistics operations
• Proactively identify system issues, operational risks, and improvement opportunities, driving sustainable solutions and process enhancements
• Ensure full compliance with WEEE regulations, product safety requirements, environmental standards, and company sustainability objectives
• Prepare, analyze, and present operational and management reports related to reverse logistics and broader Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities
• Conduct comprehensive analyses of SCM processes and performance, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
• Support annual budget planning processes, including forecasting, cost analysis, resource planning, and financial modeling for reverse logistics and related supply chain operations
• Monitor budget utilization, control operational expenses, manage cost claim settlements, and ensure adherence to approved budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects related to new processes, system implementations, automation initiatives, operational excellence programs, and organizational improvements
• Develop project plans, define milestones, manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, monitor project risks, and ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and deadlines
• Prepare business cases and performance evaluations for new initiatives, investments, and process improvement opportunities
• Lead, coach, and develop returns coordinators and operational teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement
