Job summary

Goodyear in Türkiye is seeking a Country Financial Controller, Türkiye, to lead the Türkiye Controllership organization, manage an international team across Accounting, Tax and statutory reporting, and ensure compliance with US GAAP, local regulations and SOX requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field, a professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA/CIMA/CA or equivalent) preferred, and extensive multinational finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field; CPA/ACCA/CIMA/CA or equivalent preferred.
• Extensive experience in finance and accounting, including financial reporting, statutory accounting, compliance, and governance within a multinational environment.
• Proven leadership and team development experience with coaching and collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, SOX compliance, and external audit processes.
• Understanding of Turkish tax regulations, statutory reporting, and corporate governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Türkiye Controllership function and develop a high-performing team.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with US GAAP and local requirements.
• Oversee financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting activities with transparency and consistency.
• Partner with auditors, tax advisors, and regional finance teams to maintain governance and compliance.
• Promote internal controls framework and support audit readiness and risk mitigation.
• Coach and mentor team members and support career progression.
• Collaborate across the business to identify efficiencies and strengthen financial processes.

What You’ll Do

• Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regional finance teams, to maintain strong governance and compliance standards.
• Promote a robust internal controls framework, supporting SOX compliance, audit readiness, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement.
• Coach, mentor, and support the growth and development of team members, creating opportunities for learning, succession planning, and long-term career progression.
• Collaborate across the business to identify efficiencies, strengthen financial processes, and contribute to sustainable business success.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Extensive experience in finance and accounting, including financial reporting, statutory accounting, compliance, and governance within a multinational environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, with a passion for coaching, collaboration, and building an inclusive team culture.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, SOX compliance, and external audit processes.
• Understanding of Turkish tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and corporate governance standards.
• Experience within a multinational environment is required; experience in manufacturing, industrial, automotive, or similarly complex organizations is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization.
• Fluency in both Turkish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across local and international stakeholders.
