Job summary

REED Turkey seeks an experienced Continuous Improvement & Operational Efficiency Manager to drive lean manufacturing and cost optimization across global locations. You will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of CI processes, manage expenditures, and oversee data-driven projects that enhance productivity and sustainable performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; MBA would be an asset.
• Proven experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing or related roles in manufacturing.
• Led operational excellence initiatives across multiple plants.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, cost reduction and performance management.
• Experience managing cross-functional transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, asset reliability, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for efficiency of operational and manufacturing processes across global locations, with focus on cost optimization.
• Lead design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Lean Manufacturing processes across operations.
• Manage operational expenditures and support decisions with focus on cost efficiency, productivity and sustainable performance.
• Identify and lead opportunities driving operational improvement and cultural change.
• Monitor progress, performance and risks of CI initiatives and develop reports for management insights.
• Structure complex operational challenges and conduct data-driven analyses to identify solutions.
• Lead automation, digitalization, simplification, and optimization of processes.
• Review go-to-market models and related processes to improve competitive advantage.
• Define KPIs for operational efficiency and establish performance improvement systems.
• Ensure reliability of manufacturing facilities and asset management processes.
• Coordinate globally with business units on efficiency, quality, and CI initiatives.
• Act as liaison between functional leaders across countries and senior technical leadership.
• Monitor sustainability initiatives and incentive programs across locations.

Job Description

• Take responsibility for the efficiency of operational and manufacturing processes across global locations, providing strategic direction with a strong focus on cost optimization and operational efficiency.
• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Lean Manufacturing processes and practices across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure the effective management of operational expenditures and support manufacturing decisions with a strong focus on cost efficiency, productivity and sustainable performance.
• Identify and lead opportunities and projects that drive operational improvement and organizational change, while supporting the adoption of a continuous improvement culture across the organization.
• Monitor the progress, performance, and potential risks of continuous improvement initiatives and develop relevant reports and management insights.
• Structure complex operational challenges, develop countermeasure hypotheses, and conduct data-driven analyses to identify effective and sustainable solutions.
• Lead initiatives focused on the automation, digitalization, simplification, and optimization of operational processes.
• Review sales, distribution, inventory, and order management processes, as well as go-to-market models and ways of working and continuously improve related processes and systems to create competitive advantage.
• Define key performance indicators for operational efficiency, develop appropriate measurement and management tools, and establish corporate performance improvement systems.
• Ensure the reliability of manufacturing facilities and effectively manage asset reliability processes.
• Lead global coordination with business units across different countries on operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a key liaison between functional leaders across different countries and senior technical leadership, ensuring global oversight, coordination, and reporting.
• Monitor sustainability-related initiatives and relevant incentive programs, ensuring their effective implementation across global locations.
• Lead the transfer and implementation of global and local best practices across manufacturing sites.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of employee-driven continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
• Lead the development and implementation of organizational programs focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and leadership capabilities.
• Collaborate with quality teams to monitor and improve customer complaints, cost of quality, non-conformance management, audit results, and critical quality indicators.
• Strengthen collaboration across operations, quality, maintenance, technical, and supply chain functions, fostering a company-wide operational excellence culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, a Master’s degree or MBA would be an asset.
• Solid professional experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, or Operational Efficiency roles within manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience leading operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing plants.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and performance management methodologies.
• Experience in managing cross-functional and large-scale transformation or improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, asset reliability, quality, maintenance, technical, and supply chain processes.
• Experience in defining and monitoring operational KPIs and translating data into actionable improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to complex operational challenges.
• Experience in process automation, digitalization, and operational transformation initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and functional teams across different countries and cultures.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience working within an international or multi-site manufacturing organization would be highly preferred.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
