Job summary

Rapsodo is seeking a Software Architect to shape the technical direction of our cloud‑native sports analytics platform. You will design scalable architectures, set engineering standards, and contribute hands‑on to building robust software that powers real‑time insights across global markets.

The role requires 7+ years in technical leadership, strong knowledge of distributed systems, and hands‑on expertise with Go and at least one OO language.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Architect or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, and system integration.
• Proficient in Go and at least one OO language (Java, C#, or Kotlin); Python is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices and major cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools throughout the lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures for new and existing products.
• Define architectural standards, requirements, and engineering best practices with clear design artifacts and APIs.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions with cross‑functional teams.
• Lead architecture and code reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure high quality across teams.
• Evaluate and adopt modern technologies, frameworks, cloud services, and AI tools to boost productivity.
• Contribute hands‑on to codebase through architecture validation and refactoring.
• Promote clean architecture and ongoing technical innovation across the organization.
