Job summary

Rapsodo is seeking a Software Architect to shape the technical direction of our cloud‑native sports analytics platform. You will design scalable architectures, set engineering standards, and contribute hands‑on to building robust software that powers real‑time insights across global markets.

The role requires 7+ years in technical leadership, strong knowledge of distributed systems, and hands‑on expertise with Go and at least one OO language.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Architect or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, and system integration.
• Proficient in Go and at least one OO language (Java, C#, or Kotlin); Python is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices and major cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools throughout the lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures for new and existing products.
• Define architectural standards, requirements, and engineering best practices with clear design artifacts and APIs.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions with cross‑functional teams.

About the Role

As a Software Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of Rapsodo's products. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you will design scalable software architectures, establish engineering standards, and contribute hands‑on to building high-quality cloud‑native solutions that power innovative sports technology products used worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Design and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures for new and existing products.
• Define architectural standards, technical requirements, and engineering best practices while maintaining key design artifacts and API specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and code reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure high software quality across development teams.
• Evaluate and adopt modern technologies, frameworks, cloud services, and AI‑assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Contribute directly to the codebase through architecture validation, refactoring, optimization, and hands‑on software development.
• Drive continuous improvement by promoting clean architecture, modern engineering practices, and technical innovation.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Architect or in a similar technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, and system integration.
• Professional experience with Go (Golang) and at least one object‑oriented programming language such as Java, C#, or Kotlin. Experience with Python is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices architecture and at least one major cloud platform Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
