Job summary

BekaertDeslee group is seeking a Cash Collector – International Markets for our Corlu plant. You will manage end-to-end credit control for an international customer portfolio, handling payments, credit limits, and order releases with accuracy in SAP.

Fluent Turkish and English are required to interact with global stakeholders. You will report to the Group Credit Controller in Belgium and collaborate with sales and treasury to protect financial risk while delivering reliable collection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Economics, Business Administration or Finance.
• Preferably 2 years of experience.
• Demonstrable experience in credit control / debtor management in an international context.
• Fluent English; Turkish fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Active follow-up of customer payments for the assigned regions.
• Interact with sales, customers and internal stakeholders on a daily basis.
• Monitor, evaluate and adjust credit limits based on risk analysis and payment behaviour.
• Release of customer shipments within defined credit and payment terms.
• Close collaboration with the sales team on customer status, risks and priorities.
• Escalate in the event of payment problems or increased credit risk.
• Maintain customer data in SAP; travel to Belgium for training.

Job description

As a Cash Collector – International Markets , you are responsible for the complete follow-up of customer payments for an international customer portfolio. You work from our plant in Corlu and are the first point of contact for everything that has to do with creditworthiness, outstanding invoices and release of orders. You interact with sales, customers and internal stakeholders on a daily basis and ensure a correct, timely and structured follow-up from A to Z. You will report to our Group Credit Controller who is working from our HQ in Belgium. We are looking for someone who can be deployed immediately, works fluently in SAP, is fluent in Turkish and English and can work extremely accurately in a complex, international context.

Active and close follow-up of customer payments for the assigned regions

Follow up on outstanding items and respond to payment arrears

Contact customers by phone and in writing to follow up on payments and discuss solutions

Monitoring, evaluating and adjusting credit limits based on risk analysis and payment behaviour

Release of customer shipments within defined credit and payment terms

Close collaboration and alignment with the sales team on customer status, risks, and priorities

Correct and timely escalation in the event of payment problems or increased credit risk

Monthly calculation of commission payments to agents

Monthly declaration of sales declarations to the credit insurer

Quarterly screening of customers and suppliers (compliance & creditworthiness)

Correct creation and maintenance of customer data in SAP

Profile

Bachelor’s or Master degree in Economics, Business Administration or Finance

Preferably 2 years of experience

Demonstrable experience in credit control / debtor management in an international context

Good knowledge of SAP (must-have)

Understanding creditworthiness, payment terms, and risk management

Experience with sales-driven environments is a strong plus

Fluent professional knowledge of English (written and oral)

Highly precise and structured, with high attention to detail

Strong in communication and cooperation, also with commercial profiles

Comfortable in direct customer contact, including difficult conversations about payments

Stress-resistant and easy to switch between different files and priorities

Solution-oriented and customer-oriented, without losing sight of the financial risks

Independent, reliable and quickly deployable in an existing structure

Willingness to travel to Belgium for training

Hands-on and pragmatic

Assertive but diplomatic

Discreet and professional in sensitive financial files

Feels comfortable in an international and dynamic environment
