Job summary

BekaertDeslee group is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our finance team in Turkey. The role focuses on accurate daily entries, meticulous document organization, and timely processing of invoices to support strong financial controls.

The successful candidate will handle month-end close, tax documentation, and audits, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. SAP experience and English proficiency are preferred for collaboration with international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Preferably at least 4 years of experience in general accounting.
• Good knowledge of the Uniform Chart of Accounts (UCA) and general accounting practices.
• Knowledgeable about e-invoicing, e-archiving, and other e-transformation applications.
• Knowledgeable about tax legislation and legal accounting processes.
• Proficient in using MS Excel.
• Proficient in using SAP.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and results-driven.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Able to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize workload, particularly during peak periods and demanding deadlines.
• Experienced in preparing tax declarations and managing month-end and year-end accounting closing processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that daily accounting entries are recorded accurately and on time.
• Organizing and archiving accounting documents in an orderly manner.
• Review, process, and monitor purchase and sales invoices in accordance with accounting procedures.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable records, and perform account reconciliation processes.
• Monitoring e-invoice and e-archive processes.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities within established timeline.
• Prepare the necessary documentation and supporting data for tax returns and other statutory filings.
• Review and record expense and cost-related documents in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing required information and documentation.
• Ensure the maintenance of accounting records in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies and procedures.
