Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Istanbul region seeks a Business Controller to lead finance and accounting operations, focusing on value-adding business control activities. You will support management in making informed decisions and ensuring strong governance.

The role requires IFRS knowledge, multilingual communication, and a proactive leadership style within a hybrid work setup that spans local and group initiatives. You will interact with multiple stakeholders to drive financial performance.

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar
• Several years of experience in finance and/or business control
• Qualified accountant or solid understanding of accounting principles
• IFRS knowledge; SAP or BPCS experience advantageous
• Fluency in English and native Turkish
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Proven leadership and change-management ability

Responsibilities

• Prepare, control and maintain financial data sets including balance sheet and income statements
• Monitor cash flow to ensure operations
• Collaborate with divisions and finance hubs for timely reporting to the group
• Maintain internal control processes and ensure group procedures are followed
• Ensure operations comply with local regulations and group policies
• Provide data for management reviews and guide the management team
• Raise red flags when compliance is at risk
• Support audits and prepare the company for future needs
• Coach management on financial awareness

We are looking for a Business Controller, who will lead whole finance and accounting operations of the company while focusing on the business control activities that add value to the consolidated business. You will support general management in making effective business decisions.

Your day-to-day

• Prepare, control and maintain whole financial data sets of the company including balance sheet and income statements.
• Monitor and ensure proper cash flow to secure company operations.
• Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders (Division, Holding, Finance Hubs etc.) and ensure on time and flawless reporting to the group.
• Ensure that internal control processes are in place and group processes are implemented.
• Ensure that company operations within the scope of responsibility are inline with group procedures and local regulations.
• Deliver data for internal management reviews, business considerations and supply guidance to the management team.
• Raise ‘red flags’ to management whenever compliance with business principles are at risk.
• Prepare company and his/her department for future business needs by either taking active role in group projects or initiating local scale projects.
• Take active role while preparing the company for internal & external audits.
• Coach management team about financial awareness.

Your skills and experience

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar academic background
• Several years of experience in finance and/or business control
• Qualified accountant or good level of understanding of accounting principles
• Knowledge of Atlas Copco's Finance and Administration Manual is an advantage
• IFRS knowledge
• Experience in BPCS and/or SAP is an advantage
• Openness to change and pro activeness
• High level of communication and analytical skills
• Proven leadership
• Native Turkish language
• Fluent in English is essential

Your location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and our office in Şerifali, Ümraniye, Istanbul.
