Job summary

Atlas Copco Turkey, based in Istanbul, is seeking a Business Controller to lead the finance and accounting operations and drive value through robust business controls. You will support management in making informed decisions and ensure accurate reporting to the group.

The role requires IFRS knowledge, experience in finance or business control, and fluency in English plus native Turkish. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement between remote work and our office in Şerifali, Ümraniye.

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar academic background.
• Several years of experience in finance and/or business control.
• Qualified accountant or strong understanding of accounting principles.
• IFRS knowledge.
• Experience in SAP and/or BPCS is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial data including balance sheet and income statements.
• Monitor and ensure proper cash flow to secure company operations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and ensure timely reporting to the group.
• Ensure internal control processes are in place and group processes are implemented.
• Ensure operations align with group procedures and local regulations.
• Deliver data for internal management reviews and guidance to management.
• Raise red flags to management when compliance with business principles is at risk.
• Prepare the company for future business needs by participating in group projects or local initiatives.
• Take an active role in internal & external audits.
• Coach management about financial awareness.

Your Role

We are looking for a Business Controller, who will lead whole finance and accounting operations of the company while focusing on the business control activities that add value to the consolidated business. You will support general management in making effective business decisions.

• Prepare, control and maintain whole financial data sets of the company including balance sheet and income statements.
• Monitor and ensure proper cash flow to secure company operations.
• Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders (Division, Holding, Finance Hubs etc.) and ensure on time and flawless reporting to the group.
• Ensure that internal control processes are in place and group processes are implemented.
• Ensure that company operations within the scope of responsibility are inline with group procedures and local regulations.
• Deliver data for internal management reviews, business considerations and supply guidance to the management team.
• Raise ‘red flags’ to management whenever compliance with business principles are at risk.
• Prepare company and his/her department for future business needs by either taking active role in group projects or initiating local scale projects.
• Take active role while preparing the company for internal & external audits.
• Coach management team about financial awareness.

Your skills and experience

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar academic background
• Several years of experience in finance and/or business control
• Qualified accountant or good level of understanding of accounting principles
• Knowledge of Atlas Copco's Finance and Administration Manual is an advantage
• IFRS knowledge
• Experience in BPCS and/or SAP is an advantage
• Openness to change and pro activeness
• High level of communication and analytical skills
• Native Turkish language
• Fluent in English is essential
