Job summary

Ford Otosan in Türkiye is seeking a Body Manufacturing Engineer to drive body quality processes and coordinate manufacturing engineering product implementations. The role focuses on improving efficiency and product quality through collaboration with assembly, paint shop, and related teams.

You will contribute to design feedback, feasibility studies, layouts, and equipment coordination, while supporting lean manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies to meet targets and timelines.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of spot welding and gas metal arc welding used in body panel joining.
• Knowledge of body automation systems, machinery and components.
• Basic knowledge of robot technologies.
• Familiarity with data collection/processing systems.
• Ability to prepare technical specifications, CAPEX and contracts.
• Layout preparation using AutoCAD and Process Simulate; layout investigation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate manufacturing engineering product implementation and trainings.
• Provide feedback to design/manufacturing engineering in new product and process design.
• Prepare and follow up project timelines.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare for approval.
• Provide feedback to design team for investment budgets.
• Prepare layouts according to new product design.
• Follow up machine equipment design and setups.
• Coordinate with other departments to achieve efficiency and quality targets.
• Develop problem-solving approaches from an engineering perspective.
