Job summary

REED Turkey is looking for an Automation Engineer for a medical device manufacturer in Ankara. The role covers industrial IT/automation projects from concept to commissioning, with emphasis on control systems design, validation, and documentation aligned with EU directives and FDA quality systems.

The candidate should have a strong automation engineering background, PLC/SCADA/HMI experience, and collaboration with suppliers. Proficiency in English and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Academic background in automation or electrical/computer engineering.
• Experience in production development focusing on control systems.
• Understanding of industry control systems and programming.
• Experience with technical specifications and external suppliers.
• Technical project management experience.
• Experience with testing/validation in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of SQL databases and PLC/HMI/SCADA (Siemens SIMATIC preferred).
• Knowledge of ISA 95/ISA 88 is a plus.
• English documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Industrial IT/automation project management across development stages.
• Design, risk and requirements handling; testing and validation of control systems.
• Develop documentation compliant with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Integrate machines with MES/SCADA and PDM systems.
• Contribute to digitization strategies, data collection and analytics.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders.
