Unilever is hiring an Assistant Quality Manager - Contract manufacturing - Foods in Istanbul (Umraniye) with 20-30% travel. You will lead end-to-end quality and food safety governance at third-party and collaborative sites, ensuring new products are quality-ready and released only after all requirements are met.

You will collaborate with CM teams, conduct audits, manage documentation, and drive CAPAs while staying current with GMP and industry best practices. Fluent English is required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of factory-based Quality Engineer experience.
• Experience implementing FSSC, BRC or similar QMS.
• Knowledge of GMP/regulatory requirements in the industry.
• Strong risk assessment and mitigation skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

The role ensures that innovation projects are quality-ready, products are released only when all defined requirements are met, partner sites remain compliant through risk-based audits, and preventive actions are embedded to avoid defects, incidents, and recurrence. We invite you to be part of something bigger.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*** Develop and implement project-specific quality plans and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements.* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential quality issues and non-compliance.* Collaborate with project and CM teams to develop and maintain product quality documentation, including quality control plans, inspection checklists, and test procedures.* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.* Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality records, including non-conformance reports, inspection reports, and corrective action reports.* Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality requirements and resolve any quality-related issues.* Participate in innovation project meetings and provide regular updates on quality performance and improvement initiatives.* Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality management to ensure continuous improvement of CM quality processes.* Develop validation protocols according to GMP guidelines and implement the validation plans for commissioning, run length determination, cleaning-disinfection etc.**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*** Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.* Proven experience (3 years +) as a Quality Engineer in a factory-based roles.* Experience in implementing and maintaining FSSC, BRC or similar quality management systems.* Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the industry or sector of the project.* Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).* Fluent in English both oral and written.* Ability to travel to CM for innovation production, quality improvement studies and following regular production.* Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures of FMCGs **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** * Problem Solving* Data Driven Decision Making* Manufacturing Technology* Audit & Inspection Management* Continuous Improvement* Stakeholder Management* Hygienic Design Principles* Food Safety
