Job summary

adidas in Istanbul invites a skilled procurement professional to execute tactical buying of low-value items within defined thresholds. You will identify suppliers, negotiate, run e-sourcing events in Ariba, and manage POs to meet SLAs.

You will support automation, ensure contract compliance, and collaborate with Content Specialists and Category Directors to optimize catalog coverage and supplier rostering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with emphasis on business, economics, finance, procurement or legal, or comparable professional education.
• General business experience, preferably in the Procurement area (low to mid-level spend).
• Basic experience within supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting is obligatory.

Responsibilities

• Execution of tactical buying process within a defined lower threshold.
• Conduct e-Sourcing events in Ariba Sourcing.
• Initiate order signature process and follow-up on distribution to supplier.
• Approve/modify/Reject POs related to Tactical Buying.
• Execute RFQs and contracting based on standard templates.
• Support automation by facilitating interaction between suppliers and Content Specialists.
• Ensure compliance throughout the entire process.

Job description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Execute tactical buying of low-value items within the given thresholds, including:

• Conducting supplier identification from preferred suppliers list, negotiation, and supplier selection
• Deliver sourcing results to contribute to team’s targets while ensuring that Service Level Agreements with the business are being met
• Support procurement automation by continuously seeking opportunities to increase catalog coverage.
• Analyze business requests and assess the need to implement supplier rostering.
• Manage vendor creation in alignment with internal processes and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execution of tactical buying process within a defined lower threshold
• Conduct e-Sourcing events in Ariba Sourcing
• Initiate order signature process and follow-up on distribution to supplier
• Approve/modify/Reject POs related to Tactical Buying
• Based on Category Director and manager guidance, execute RfQs, for potential catalog items including contracting based on standard contract templates
• Support automated buying channel introductions by facilitating the interaction between suppliers and Content Specialists
• Ensure compliance throughout the entire process

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Knowledge of sourcing strategies, approaches, and methods
• Knowledge of contract management, compliance management, and analytics
• Good ability to analyze specifications and influence demand
• Communication skills and the capability to independently interact with different stakeholders

• Experience in a Shared Service environment or similar is a plus
• Experience with SAP Ariba Sourcing is an advantage

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic experience within supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting area is obligatory.
