About us

Anna Laudel was founded in 2012 and is now located in the heart of Beyoğlu, Gümüşsuyu in Istanbul.

Since the gallery’s opening, Anna Laudel has been striving to become one of the leading dynamic contemporary art centres in Istanbul, yet to also represent a wide range of artists, in terms of social and cultural background, age and of course in terms of artistic styles and media.

Founded by Anna Laudel with the intention of promoting Turkish emerging as well as established artists, but also a selection of international artists with, for instance, German or Italian backgrounds, the gallery developed a strong stance in the art world.

Job Description

As an Artist Liaison you will be the primary point of contact for gallery artists and their studios. You will establish strong relationships with artists, negotiate cooperation terms on behalf of the gallery, and provide vital support in all aspects of the artist/gallery relationship. Your responsibilities will include selecting, procuring, and defining artworks for sale, as well as managing inventory and assisting in production.

Additionally, you will coordinate exhibitions held at the gallery and occasionally art fairs, manage budgets, and cultivate institutional networks to support the career development of our artists.

Additionally, you will contribute to artwork sales by building relationships with collectors and identifying opportunities for the placement of works.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales process by presenting artworks to collectors, identifying potential buyers, and contributing to the successful placement of artworks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for artists, maintaining regular communication and providing support as needed.
• Coordinate logistics for exhibitions, including artwork delivery, installation, and promotional activities.
• Assist with the development and execution of marketing and promotional strategies to increase awareness of artists and their work.
• Collaborate with curators and gallery staff to plan and organize exhibitions, events, and special projects.
• Manage artist contracts, agreements, and documentation, ensuring compliance with the gallery’s policies and legal requirements.
• Conduct research on artists, art market trends, and industry practices to inform decision‑making and strategic planning.
• Attend art events, openings, and fairs to represent the gallery and network with artists, collectors, and industry professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Arts Management, or a related field.
• Min. 2 years of previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an art gallery or similar environment.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, strong inter‑personal and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in both Turkish and Business English at an advanced level, both spoken and written, is essential. Proficiency in any additional languages is a plus.
• Knowledge of artwork production and experience in developing and producing complex projects and exhibitions.
• Proficiency in Mac, Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of Artlogic, Artnet, Artsy, Shopify database is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for gallery events and openings and artist engagements.
• Ability and willingness to work with colleagues in collaborative and team environments, as well as independently.
• Budgeting skills.
