Strong beverage focus, English proficiency and 3+ years in beverage applications are required, with a customer‑oriented approach and hands‑on technical mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Food Engineering and Master’s in Food Science/Technology preferred.
• Specialization in Beverage applications is required.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Minimum 3 years in beverage applications, product development or technical customer support.

We are looking for an experienced Application Technologist – Beverages to join our Food Flavors team in Istanbul.

This role is designed for a hands‑on food application professional who combines strong technical expertise in beverage applications with a customer‑oriented mindset. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating customer needs and flavor concepts into successful finished‑product applications.

YOUR ROLE

As an Application Technologist, you will be responsible for developing, testing and optimizing flavor applications across beverage categories, while providing technical application support to our customers and internal commercial and creative teams.

You will act as an important technical bridge between customers, Flavorists, Sales and R&D, helping transform flavor ideas into commercially relevant solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and optimize flavor applications for beverage products
• Develop new recipes, reformulate existing ones and maintain the team’s application database across beverage categories, ensuring flavor compatibility and process feasibility.
• Prepare prototypes and finished‑product applications for customer presentations, internal evaluations and innovation projects.
• Provide technical application support to customers, understanding their product, process and formulation requirements.
• Work closely with customers on new product development, reformulation and flavor optimization projects.
• Recommend appropriate flavors, dosage levels and application approaches according to the customer's product matrix and manufacturing conditions.
• Troubleshoot flavor performance and application‑related challenges.
• Evaluate flavor performance under different food matrices and processing conditions.
• Collaborate closely with Flavorists, Sales, Marketing and R&D teams on customer briefs and innovation projects.
• Support customer visits, technical presentations, workshops and product demonstrations.
• Follow market developments, consumer trends and emerging concepts within beverages
• Contribute application expertise to the development of new flavor solutions and concepts.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering and Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology is a plus
• Strong and demonstrable specialization in Beverage applications
• Good command of English
• Minimum 3 years of Professional experience in beverage applications, product development or technical customer support within the flavor, ingredient or food industry; experience in an industrial production environment is a plus
• Senior‑level ability to independently manage customer application projects
• Solid understanding of food ingredients, formulations, processing parameters and their impact on flavor performance
• Strong sensory evaluation skills with the ability to design and conduct structured tasting sessions, guide panelists, and translate sensory findings into actionable application insights and problem‑solving capabilities
• Ability to translate a customer brief into a technically successful product application
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a customer‑focused approach
• Ability to work effectively with Flavorists, commercial teams and customers
