Job summary

AVL Türkiye Research and Engineering is seeking an ADAS/AD Systems Engineer to develop automated driving technologies from concept to production sign-off. You will work on requirements, system design and modeling, and simulation of ADAS/AD features.

The role requires strong domain knowledge in ADAS, experience with system engineering and tools, fluent English and German, and willingness to travel abroad for projects with AVL Global experts.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals of ADAS/AD and vehicle features.
• Experience with requirements management and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of safety standards (ISO26262) and SOTIF (ISO21448).
• Programming experience in Python or similar is a plus.
• Fluent English and German required; willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define functional/non-functional requirements for ADAS/AD features with KPIs.
• Reflect system and domain knowledge in design and modeling per standards and regulations.
• Create ADAS/AD systems specifications and modeling artifacts.
• Design, model, test/simulate, document and maintain ADAS/AD scenarios.
• Collaborate with AVL Global experts to stay current with technology trends.
• Engage in R&D activities.

Description of daily responsibilities include, but is not limited to, the following:

• For safe and fascinating driving experience, develop and define functional/non-functional requirements of ADAS/AD features with performance KPIs,

Profile Description

• BSc. in Electronics, Controls, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automotive engineering, or other related area and preferably with MSc. or PhD. degrees.
• Strong understanding of fundamentals of ADAS/AD and/or vehicle features (e.g. functions, algorithms, architecture etc.)
• Experience in the following areas: System engineering, ADAS/AD Scenario-based development, ADAS/AD simulation and AI-based applications
• Experience with requirements management tools such as Codebeamer / PTC Integrity / Polarion / DOORS or simulation tools such as AVL Scenario Simulator / CarMaker / etc.
• Good knowledge of ADAS/AD relevant safety standards & regulations, Functional safety (ISO26262) and SOTIF (ISO21448)
• Having programming experience in any language (Python, C#, etc) is a plus
• Fluent spoken and excellent written English and German
• Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad
