Job summary

SNI is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Turkey team. The role focuses on maintaining accounts, assisting with tax returns, and producing financial statements for local and global operations.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in economics or related fields, 3+ years of accounting experience, and proficiency in Turkish and English. SAP knowledge is a plus, and accuracy and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Keep accounts and support tax returns aligned with local GAAP
• Review balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Process invoices and reconcile with customers
• Support cash flow activities including payroll and taxes
• Assist in month-end closing and coordinate with senior specialist
• Perform vendor and customer reconciliations
• Prepare headcount reports and update personnel data

We are looking for an “Accounting Specialist” who will be able to work in SNI with below qualifications;

• University degree in economics/business administration or in a related field with a focus on Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of general accounting experience, knowledge of standard accounting principles, methods and applications
• Ability to effectively communicate accounting information, policies, and/or procedures
• Knowledge of accounting, finance and cost control procedures
• Open to learning and self-improvement
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
• Ability to anticipate problems and act accordingly
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• A positive team player with strong communication skills
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
• Good command of Turkish and English languages

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?

• Responsible for keeping the accounts, support to preparing the tax returns in line with local GAAP
• Review assigned balance sheet and related income statement accounts for accuracy
• Preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Responsible for arranging invoices per collections; perform periodic reconciliations with external customers
• Supporting the cash flow of the firm i.e. salaries, taxes
• Running daily accounting tasks for both local & global operations. Creating daily accounting records
• Monitor all banking activities on daily basis and and managing, checking and logging bank transactions
• Follow month-end closing process and drive month-end closing activities with a close collaboration with senior specialist
• Perform reconciliation with vendors and customers
• Controlling, processing and archiving of monthly invoices. Issuing credit note and sales invoices
• Supporting e-ledger
• Coordinate and control expenses
• Prepare headcount reports to Yıldız Teknopark management and update personnel data in related database
• Support payroll calculations when needed.
