Job summary

Serioplast in Konya, Türkiye, is seeking a skilled Accountant/Technologist to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance in a manufacturing setting.

You will maintain ERP records, process invoicing, support tax declarations, and prepare financial statements under IFRS and GAAP, collaborating with the Administration and Finance Manager to drive process efficiency and control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of IFRS-based accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge and ERP experience (SAP).
• Proficient in English basics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records in the ERP system, perform reconciliations, and manage AP/AR processes.
• Process invoicing for customers and intercompany transactions with accurate entries.
• Support tax calculations, statutory declarations, and preparation of balance sheets and income statements.
• Contribute to financial reporting and documentation for audits and compliance.
• Assist in implementing accounting regulations and finance administration activities.

The Technologist reports to the Technical Manager and is responsible for guaranteeing production continuity and product conformity by ensuring process stability in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment regulations, and in line with company standards and procedures.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Maintains accounting records through the ERP system, performs account reconciliations, and manages accounts and accounts payable (AP) processes
• Manages invoicing processes for customers and intercompany transactions, ensuring the accurate recording of related accounting entries
• Supports tax calculations, statutory declarations, and the preparation of the balance sheet, income statement, and other financial reports
• Contributes to the preparation of financial reports by analyzing accounting data and prepares the documentation required for periodic audits
• Supports the implementation of accounting and fiscal regulations and contributes to the financial and administrative processes carried out by the Administration and Finance Manager

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Good knowledge of tax legislation and regulations
• Good knowledge of business economics
• Excellent applied knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
• Basic knowledge of English
